Fuzzy controllers

Fuzzy controllers are systems that manage situations with uncertainty or imprecise information, resembling human reasoning. Instead of strict rules, they use "fuzzy logic"—a way of handling partial truths—allowing the controller to make decisions based on degrees of membership in different conditions. For example, instead of having a fixed temperature "hot" or "cold," it recognizes "somewhat hot" or "quite cold." This approach provides smooth, adaptable control for complex processes like climate systems, appliances, or robotics, resulting in more flexible and human-like decision-making compared to traditional on/off control systems.
