Fusarium wilt

Fusarium wilt is a plant disease caused by a soil-borne fungus called Fusarium oxysporum. It infects a plant’s water-conducting tissues, leading to yellowing, wilting, and eventual death of the plant. The fungus can remain dormant in the soil for years, making it difficult to eradicate. It often affects crops like tomatoes, bananas, and other vegetables. The disease spreads through infected soil, water, or plant debris. Management includes crop rotation, resistant varieties, good soil health, and sanitation to prevent and control its spread.
