FUNCINPEC

FUNCINPEC (National United Front for an Independent, Neutral, Peaceful, and Cooperative Cambodia) is a Cambodian political party founded in 1981. It was created as a royalist and nationalist movement aiming to restore the monarchy and promote national unity. Throughout Cambodia's turbulent history, FUNCINPEC played a significant role in the peace process and power-sharing arrangements, including ruling jointly with other parties. It is known for its association with Prince Norodom Sihanouk, who led the party for many years.
