FTCA Regulations

The Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) allows people to sue the U.S. government for certain wrongful acts committed by its employees. It enables individuals to seek compensation for injuries or damages caused by negligence, like accidents or medical malpractice in federal facilities. However, there are strict rules: claims must typically be filed within two years, and exhaustive administrative procedures must be followed first, including submitting the claim to the relevant agency. The FTCA does not cover all claims, such as intentional misconduct or certain discretionary actions taken by federal employees.
