Fronts

A front is a boundary where a mass of warm air meets a mass of cold air. This boundary causes changes in weather, such as temperature shifts, wind, and sometimes precipitation. Fronts are classified as cold (cold air advances into warm air), warm (warm air overtakes cold air), stationary (boundary remains still), or occluded (warm air is caught between cold air masses). These interactions are key in weather forecasting, as they often lead to storms or other significant weather events, marking transitions between different air masses and weather conditions.
