Frontinus
Frontinus was a Roman engineer and official known for managing the city’s water supply in ancient Rome around 100 AD. He supervised the aqueducts—massive stone channels that transported fresh water into the city—and ensured they functioned efficiently. His work included maintaining water quality, preventing leaks, and protecting the water sources from sabotage. Frontinus also wrote a detailed report called "De Aquaeductu," explaining how Rome's water system operated. His expertise helped support Rome’s large population and urban life, making him an important figure in the history of engineering and public infrastructure.
