Front-wheel drive

Front-wheel drive (FWD) is a vehicle setup where the engine's power is transmitted to the front wheels, which then propel the car forward. This configuration generally results in better traction during acceleration and in conditions like rain or snow, because the weight of the engine is over the driven wheels. FWD vehicles tend to be more space-efficient and cost-effective to produce, making them common in many cars today. However, they may experience less handling agility under high-performance driving conditions compared to rear-wheel or all-wheel drive systems.
