Friends of the Court
"Friends of the Court," also known as amicus curiae, are individuals or organizations that are not parties to a case but offer additional information, expertise, or perspectives to help the court make a more informed decision. They submit voluntary written arguments called briefs, highlighting legal issues or broader implications of the case. Their role is to provide the court with insights that may not be fully addressed by the involved parties, aiding in a more comprehensive understanding of the case's impact on society or specific interests.
