Freud's theory of sexuality

Freud's theory of sexuality suggests that human sexual development occurs in stages influenced by different erogenous zones—areas of the body sensitive to stimulation—that guide personality formation. These stages are oral, anal, phallic, latency, and genital. During each stage, conflicts or challenges related to these zones shape one's future adult sexuality and personality. Freud believed that unresolved issues from early stages could lead to specific personality traits or psychological difficulties. His theory emphasizes that sexuality is a fundamental aspect of human development, deeply intertwined with emotional and psychological growth.
