Frequentist inference is a method of making conclusions about a population based on data from samples. It relies on probability as long-term frequency—if you repeat the same experiment many times, certain outcomes will occur a specific proportion of the time. Using this approach, statisticians calculate estimates, such as averages or proportions, and assess their reliability through measures like confidence intervals. Essentially, frequentist inference treats the data as random and the true population parameters as fixed but unknown, drawing conclusions based on how often certain results would appear if the experiment were repeated many times.
