Frequency filtering

Frequency filtering is a technique used in signal processing to isolate or remove specific parts of a signal based on their frequencies. Imagine a sound wave composed of many different tones; a filter can be used to let certain tones pass through while blocking others. For example, a low-pass filter allows only low-frequency sounds (like bass) to be heard clearly, while a high-pass filter removes high-frequency noise. This process helps in cleaning up signals, emphasizing important features, or extracting desired information from complex data, such as audio, images, or electronic signals.
