Freebase

Freebase was a large-scale, collaborative database of structured information about various topics, such as people, places, and things. Think of it as an interconnected digital encyclopedia where data is organized into entities and their relationships, making it easier for computers and applications to understand and retrieve complex information. It was used to improve search engines and other services by providing accurate, well-organized data. In 2014, Freebase was discontinued, and its data was integrated into Google's Knowledge Graph to enhance information retrieval across Google products.
