These zones aim to promote international trade by lowering costs and streamlining processes for businesses. Companies often use FTZs to assemble, process, or store products before distributing them globally. While goods in FTZs are generally subject to different rules, they are still under the jurisdiction of the country’s customs authorities, ensuring compliance with laws when goods exit the zone.
