Free Polish Forces

The Free Polish Forces were military units formed by Poles who escaped occupied Poland during World War II. They fought alongside Allies—mainly the British—to defend freedom and oppose Nazi Germany and its allies. These forces included soldiers, airmen, and sailors operating in various campaigns, such as in Europe, North Africa, and the Atlantic. Despite Poland being under occupation, the Free Polish Forces maintained a sense of national identity and played a significant role in the Allied war effort, symbolizing resistance and the Polish commitment to regaining independence.
