Fredrick I (Barbarossa)
Frederick I, known as Barbarossa, was a medieval German king and Holy Roman Emperor from 1155 until his death in 1190. He aimed to restore the power of the emperor over Italy and expand his influence across Europe. He was a skilled military leader and sought to unify the German state and strengthen the empire’s authority. His reign involved efforts to mediate conflicts, notably in Italy, and participate in the Crusades. Despite his leadership, his ambitions faced challenges, and he drowned during the Third Crusade, which marked a significant end to his rule.
