
Frederick I of Prussia
Frederick I of Prussia (1657-1713) was the first King in Prussia, reigning from 1701 to 1713. Originally the Elector of Brandenburg, he elevated his status by becoming king, marking the rise of Prussia as a significant European power. Frederick I is known for his patronage of the arts and efforts to modernize his kingdom, as well as for supporting education and architecture.
