Franz Stangl
Franz Stangl was a high-ranking Nazi official responsible for managing extermination camps during the Holocaust, notably Treblinka in Poland. His role involved overseeing the mass murder of millions of Jews and other victims. After World War II, he escaped justice, living in hiding in Brazil until he was captured and extradited to Germany, where he was tried and convicted for his crimes. Stangl’s actions are widely regarded as part of one of history’s most horrific genocides.
