Franciscan Friars of the Renewal
The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (CFRs) are a Catholic religious community founded in 1987 in New York City. Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, they dedicate themselves to living simply, serving the poor, and spreading the Gospel through community life, prayer, and active ministry. They focus on evangelization, works of charity, and promoting peace, often working in underserved urban areas. The CFRs emphasize humility, compassion, and fidelity to their vows, seeking to embody the Franciscan ideals of poverty, humility, and love for all of creation while deepening their spiritual life.
