Francis E. Warren was a prominent American politician who served as a U.S. Senator from Wyoming from 1890 to 1893 and again from 1895 until his death in 1929. He was also Wyoming’s first territorial governor. Warren played a key role in shaping early Wyoming politics and development, promoting mining, ranching, and infrastructure. Known as the “Father of Wyoming,” he was influential in securing statehood and served as a Senate leader, including as its President pro tempore. His long career made him a significant figure in the state's history and national politics during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
