Framework for BDI Agents
The BDI (Beliefs, Desires, Intentions) framework models autonomous agents like intelligent software that mimics human decision-making. "Beliefs" represent what the agent knows about its environment, "Desires" are its goals or what it wants to achieve, and "Intentions" are the plans it commits to executing. The framework guides the agent to evaluate its beliefs, prioritize its desires, and form intentions to act effectively. This approach enables agents to handle complex, dynamic situations with a reasoning process similar to human cognition, making their behavior more coherent and goal-directed.
