Fracture healing phases

Fracture healing occurs in three main phases. First is the inflammatory phase, where blood clots form around the break, and swelling and pain happen as the body begins repair. Next is the reparative phase, during which new tissue called a soft callus forms, gradually turning into a stronger, mineralized bone. Finally, the remodeling phase happens as the new bone reshapes and strengthens, restoring normal structure. This process can take weeks to months, depending on the severity of the fracture and individual health. Proper rest and care support the body's natural healing process.
