Fourier-domain OCT

Fourier-domain OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is a medical imaging technique that captures detailed, cross-sectional pictures of tissues like the retina. It works by shining a light into the tissue and measuring the light reflected back at many different depths. By using a mathematical method called Fourier analysis, it converts these measurements into a high-resolution 3D image quickly and precisely. This allows doctors to see fine structures inside the eye without contact, making diagnoses and monitoring easier and more accurate. Fourier-domain OCT is faster and provides better detail compared to earlier OCT methods.
