Four Directions

The Four Directions—North, East, South, and West—are fundamental reference points used for navigation and orientation. They help us determine location and direction relative to the Earth's surface. North points toward the North Pole, East is the direction where the sun rises, South is directly opposite North, and West is where the sun sets. These directions are used in maps, compasses, and travel to help us find our way and understand spatial relationships. Knowing the Four Directions helps us navigate unfamiliar places, plan routes, and communicate our position accurately.
