Foster Family Agency

A Foster Family Agency (FFA) is an organization licensed by the state to recruit, screen, train, and support foster families who provide temporary homes for children needing care outside their biological families. FFAs work closely with social services and courts to ensure children’s needs are met, matching them with suitable foster families and providing ongoing support, training, and supervision. Their goal is to create a safe, stable environment that promotes the child's well-being and helps them transition back home or towards permanency. Essentially, an FFA acts as a resource and partner in caring for vulnerable children.
