Forms (Theory of Forms)

The Theory of Forms, developed by Plato, suggests that beyond our physical world, there exists a realm of perfect, unchanging, and eternal "Forms" or "Ideas." These Forms represent the true essence or ideal version of everything we experience, such as beauty, justice, or goodness. For example, the specific beautiful object we see is just a copy of the perfect Form of Beauty. Our physical world is imperfect and transient because it reflects these perfect Forms. Understanding these Forms helps explain how we recognize concepts across different instances and why they have universal qualities.
