Form I-864, also known as the Affidavit of Support, is a legal document submitted by a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident sponsoring a foreign relative for a visa or green card. It demonstrates that the sponsor has enough income or assets to financially support the immigrant, ensuring they won’t rely on government assistance.
