Form and Function
"Form" refers to the shape, structure, or appearance of an object—how it looks and how its parts are arranged. "Function" describes the purpose or role the object is meant to serve—what it does or how it’s used. For example, the form of a knife is a handle and a sharp blade; its function is to cut. Often, an object's form is designed to enhance or facilitate its function. Understanding this relationship helps explain why certain designs work well for specific tasks or why different objects are shaped the way they are.
