Form and Color

Form refers to the shape or structure of an object—its outline, dimensions, and overall silhouette—helping us recognize and differentiate it. Color pertains to the visual perception caused by light reflecting off surfaces, conveying mood, emphasis, or symbolism. Together, form and color shape our aesthetic experience: form provides the physical boundaries, while color adds emotional and visual depth. Artists and designers use these elements intentionally to create meaning, balance, and visual interest in their work.
