Foreign Officials

Foreign officials are government representatives or employees who work for a country’s government abroad. They include diplomats, consular officers, and other government personnel posted outside their home country. Their role is to represent their nation's interests, facilitate diplomatic relations, handle official communications, protect their country's citizens abroad, and promote economic or cultural ties. Because they act on behalf of their government, they are granted certain legal privileges and immunities under international law to ensure they can perform their duties without interference.
