Forced Vital Capacity

Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) is a measure of how much air a person can forcibly exhale after taking a deep breath. It assesses lung function and is important for diagnosing respiratory conditions like asthma or COPD. During the test, a person breathes in deeply and then exhales as hard and fast as possible into a device called a spirometer.
