Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV)

Forced Expiratory Volume (FEV) measures the amount of air a person can forcibly exhale from their lungs in the first second of a breath. It's a key test used to assess lung function and diagnose respiratory conditions like asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). By evaluating FEV, healthcare providers can determine how well the lungs are working and whether there is airflow obstruction.
