Force (Physics)

Force in physics is any influence that causes an object to change its motion, either by starting, stopping, or altering its speed or direction. It’s measured in units called newtons. Think of force as a push or pull—pushing a shopping cart, pulling open a door, or gravity pulling you toward the ground. Forces can act through direct contact or at a distance, like magnetic or gravitational forces. They are fundamental in understanding how objects move and interact, governed by Newton’s laws, which describe the relationship between force, mass, and acceleration.
