Foraging modes
Foraging modes refer to different strategies animals use to find and obtain food efficiently. These modes include active search, where animals move around to locate food; ambush tactics, where predators stay hidden and wait for prey; and stalking, involving careful pursuit of prey. Each mode depends on the animal's environment, prey type, and physical abilities. Understanding these strategies helps explain how different species maximize their energy intake while minimizing effort and risk during foraging.
