Fomalhaut

Fomalhaut is a bright star located about 25 light-years away in the constellation Piscis Austrinus. It’s roughly twice the size of the Sun and shines with a distinct, steady glow. Surrounding Fomalhaut is a large, dusty debris disk—similar to a cosmic version of a ring or a belt—believed to contain asteroids and comets. This disk indicates potential planet formation. Astronomers have also identified an exoplanet, Fomalhaut b, which orbits the star. Overall, Fomalhaut is a prominent, nearby star that offers insights into stellar and planetary development in our galaxy.
