Folfiri

Folfiri is a combination of cancer-fighting drugs used to treat certain types of cancer, especially colorectal cancer. It includes folinic acid (leucovorin), which enhances the effectiveness of chemotherapy; irinotecan, which destroys cancer cells by interfering with their DNA replication; and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which inhibits cancer cell growth. This combination boosts the overall ability to kill cancer cells more effectively than individual drugs alone. Folfiri is administered through IV infusion in a healthcare setting and is part of a broader treatment plan tailored to each patient's specific diagnosis.
