FNAB technique

Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy (FNAB) is a minimally invasive procedure used to collect cells from a lump or mass, such as in the breast or thyroid. A thin, hollow needle is inserted through the skin into the suspicious area, and a gentle syringe pull draws out a small sample of cells. These cells are then examined under a microscope to help determine if the growth is benign or malignant. The procedure typically causes minimal discomfort, requires no major surgery, and results are usually available quickly to guide further treatment decisions.
