Fly-by-wire

Fly-by-wire is a modern aircraft control system where traditional manual controls (like yoke and pedals) are replaced by electronic sensors and computers. When a pilot moves the controls, sensors send signals to the onboard computers, which process the input and send precise commands to the aircraft’s control surfaces (like elevators and ailerons). This system offers enhanced stability, safety, and flexibility, allowing for automated adjustments and flight management that would be difficult with manual controls alone. Essentially, fly-by-wire replaces mechanical linkages with electronic systems to improve aircraft performance and pilot control.
