Flutes
A flute is a musical instrument from the woodwind family, typically made of metal or wood, that produces sound when the player blows air across an opening called the embouchure hole. As the player opens and closes keys along the instrument’s body, they change the air column's length inside, creating different pitches. Unlike reed instruments, the flute doesn’t use a reed to produce sound. It requires precise airflow and finger movement to play melodies, and it is known for its bright, pure tone often featured in orchestras, bands, and solo performances.
