Fluted points
Fluted points are ancient stone tools characterized by a long, narrow groove or channel, called a flute, that runs from the base toward the tip. This feature was created by removing a thin, hollowed-out part of the stone during shaping, making the point easier to haft onto a spear or arrow shaft. Fluted points are associated with early hunter-gatherer cultures, notably the Clovis culture in North America around 13,000 years ago. Their craftsmanship indicates advanced tool-making skills and helped early humans hunt more effectively by enhancing weapon design.
