Flow batteries

Flow batteries are a type of rechargeable energy storage system where two liquid electrolytes, containing different chemical substances, are stored in external tanks. During operation, these liquids are pumped through a central cell stack, where a chemical reaction generates electricity. Because the electrolytes are stored separately, they can be easily scaled up for larger energy storage or replaced when needed. Flow batteries are valued for their long cycle life, safety, and ability to store large amounts of energy, making them suitable for grid balancing and renewable energy integration.
