Flossing recommendations
Flossing is an important part of oral health that removes plaque and food particles from between teeth and below the gumline, areas a toothbrush can't reach. It helps prevent cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. The general recommendation is to floss once daily, using about 18 inches of floss, gently sliding it between teeth and curving around each tooth to clean along the gumline. Proper technique is key to avoid gum injury. Regular flossing, combined with brushing and dental check-ups, promotes healthier gums and prevents dental issues.
