Florida's MTSS

Florida's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a proactive framework to help all students succeed academically and behaviorally. It involves layered levels of instruction and intervention, starting with high-quality classroom teaching (Tier 1), and providing additional targeted support (Tier 2), and intensive, individualized help (Tier 3) for students who need it. The goal is early identification and intervention to address challenges promptly, promoting positive outcomes for students across diverse needs. MTSS emphasizes collaboration among educators, families, and support staff to ensure every student has access to the resources they need to thrive.
