Flodden Field
The Battle of Flodden Field, fought in 1513 in northern England near the border with Scotland, was a significant conflict between England and Scotland. King James IV of Scotland led his army into England, intending to support Scottish interests. However, the English forces, led by the Earl of Surrey, outnumbered and outmaneuvered the Scots. The battle resulted in a decisive English victory, with many Scottish soldiers, including King James IV, killed or wounded. It marked a major turning point, weakening Scotland's royal authority and impacting the ongoing Anglo-Scottish conflicts for years.
