Floating Structures

Floating structures are man-made formations built to stay afloat on water, designed to serve various purposes such as bridges, platforms, or homes. They rely on buoyancy—the principle that an object displaces a volume of water equal to its weight—to stay buoyant. Constructed from materials like steel or concrete, these structures are carefully engineered to balance weight and water displacement. They’re used in situations where traditional land-based structures aren't feasible, such as in deep or unstable waters, or where flexibility and mobility are required. Their stability depends on design, distribution of weight, and anchoring systems.
