Flexor tendon injuries

Flexor tendon injuries involve damage to the tendons that allow you to bend your fingers or thumb. These tendons run along the inside of your fingers and connect the muscles in your hand to the bones, enabling movement. When injured, you might find it difficult or impossible to curl the affected finger or thumb properly. Such injuries often occur from cuts or trauma and may require surgical repair followed by therapy to regain full movement and strength. Prompt treatment is important to prevent stiffness or permanent loss of function.
