Flavor Law
Flavor laws are regulations designed to restrict or ban flavored tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and cigars, because appealing flavors can attract youth and non-smokers. These laws aim to reduce the initiation and continued use of tobacco by making these products less appealing to new users. Typically, flavor bans target sweet, fruity, or minty flavors, leaving only traditional tobacco or menthol flavors in some cases. By limiting flavor options, public health efforts seek to decrease the likelihood of tobacco addiction and improve community health outcomes.
