Flavell's model

Flavell's model focuses on understanding how children develop their awareness of their own thinking and the thinking of others, known as "metacognition." It suggests that as children grow, they become better at recognizing their own mental processes, such as remembering, problem-solving, and understanding others' perspectives. The model describes stages where children move from not being aware of these processes to actively monitoring and regulating their thinking. This development helps them become more effective learners and social thinkers. Essentially, Flavell's model highlights the importance of developing awareness about thinking as a key part of cognitive growth.
