Five Pillars

The Five Pillars of Islam are core practices that guide Muslims' faith and daily life. They include: Shahada, the declaration of faith emphasizing belief in one God and Muhammad as His prophet; Salat, performing five daily prayers facing Mecca; Zakat, giving a portion of wealth to support the needy; Sawm, fasting during the month of Ramadan to develop self-discipline; and Hajj, making a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in a lifetime if able. These pillars foster spirituality, community, charity, discipline, and devotion within the Islamic faith.
