Five Dynasties
The Five Dynasties period (907–960 AD) in Chinese history followed the fall of the Tang Dynasty and was marked by political fragmentation. It consisted of five short-lived dynasties: Later Liang, Later Tang, Later Jin, Later Han, and Later Zhou. This era was characterized by military conflicts, power struggles, and a lack of centralized governance. Despite its instability, it was also a time of cultural and economic development, setting the stage for the subsequent Song Dynasty, which would unify China and further advance its culture, technology, and economy.
