Fisher scale

The Fisher scale is a system used by doctors to assess the severity of bleeding in the brain caused by a ruptured aneurysm, based on the amount and pattern of blood seen on a CT scan. It helps predict the risk of complications like brain swelling or blood clots. The scale ranges from I (minimal bleeding) to IV (severe bleeding with blood tracking into the brain tissue). This classification guides doctors in making treatment decisions and estimating prognosis by providing a standardized way to describe the extent of the hemorrhage.
